Internships
Thank you for your interest in our internship training program at Hope House. We provide comprehensive clinical training program overseen by well-trained seasoned professionals. Interns will have the opportunity to learn and utilize Evidence Based Practices (EBP) over the course of their internship with Hope House.
Hope House works with a variety of schools providing clinical internships/training at the Certificate, Master, and PhD level. All internships require an in person interview, the ability to work two split shifts (day/evening), and basic computer and typing skills as we use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for clinical documentation.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Seminar
Master and PhD student will participate in a weekly CBT seminar designed to enhance knowledge of CBT, provide opportunities for case presentation and consultation.
Clinical Skill Development
Interns, under the supervision of a licensed clinician, will work with clients providing individual and group counseling utilizing Evidence Based Practices. Interns will develop treatment plans, implement and adjust treatment goals in collaboration with clients and assist clients with transitioning out of the program upon completion.
Case Management – Resource Development
Interns will improve their understanding of community resources for the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders. In addition, interns will identify resources to address legal issues, DCF, DOR, behavioral health, and housing. Interns will gain insight into navigating a system of resources and be able to assist clients to work within complex systems of care.
Services as Hope House
Hope House provides treatment for all substance use disorders in its DPH licensed 80 bed residential treatment program, DPH licensed outpatient substance abuse program, safe housing in our 22 unit low income subsidized housing program along with outreach and prevention services providing education to the population in Boston neighborhoods.
